The NYPD is investigating an assault on a woman at the Woodlawn subway station.
It was reported to police that at 7:12 a.m. on Monday February 28, the victim, a 46-year-old woman, was walking down the stairs to Woodlawn tube station when a man in front of her turned and shoved her. hit. in the face. He then fled on foot. The victim suffered from pain, swelling and a laceration to the lips.
The woman then reported the incident and refused to receive medical attention at the time. Police had identified a person of interest in connection with the incident, but have since confirmed that the person in question is no longer wanted in connection with the assault and that the investigation is continuing.
