West Seattle Blog… | WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Search for Alki; package taken

Two notes in West Seattle Crime Watch today:

ALKI RESEARCH: The text messages asked about a police raid just off the Alki Avenue business district this morning.

Police at the scene told us it was a domestic violence incident. The victim, they said, was going to be taken to hospital for evaluation, but was not believed to have suffered serious injuries. We have not been able to find out if the suspect has been found.

A package was stolen from the lobby of our condo (The Verge – 3213 Harbor Ave. SW) (Friday) afternoon. The package was delivered by the USPS at 2:32 am and stolen 15/20 minutes later by what appears to be some random delivery driver.

He was buzzed into the building and carrying a large black bag held flat. He looks at the packages while waiting for the elevator, gets on the elevator when it arrives, then reaches out and picks up my package.

He leaves a few minutes later, with his duffel lighter (notice that he carries it straighter and less full than when he arrived), but apparently still with my package of Revitalash.

The timestamp of the images is off by about 15-20 minutes, so we believe it happened between 2:45 and 2:55 p.m. this afternoon (Friday April 1).

The package was addressed to Adam’s wife, Jennifer.
