The End of Roe: A Special Report from PBS NewsHour | THIRTEEN

Above is the archived live stream of President Joe Biden’s remarks on June 24 at 12:35 p.m. in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade that morning.

Following today’s landmark Supreme Court decision striking down 50 years of the constitutional right to abortion, PBS NewsTime presenter and editor Judy Woodruff will present a special report on the impact of this legal and cultural shift: The End of Roe: A PBS NewsHour Special Report, Friday June 24, 8-8:30 p.m. on THIRTEEN. The special will examine the division on the ground, the anti-abortion activism that led to today’s decision, the next steps as the battle over abortion access moves to the states, and looks back at America’s pre-Roe history and what’s to come next.

The special will follow the regular program PBS NewsTime broadcast from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Washington Weekwhich normally airs from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will air at 8:30 p.m. on June 24, after The End of Roe: A PBS NewsHour Special Report. Moderator Yamiche Alcindor will host a show entirely focused on the Roe decision and its political fallout. His guests will include the reporter who leaked Alito’s historic opinion in May.

Scheduled programming resumes at 9 p.m. (The Great American Recipe).
