Norwood: Search for man after bottle attack on security guard

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person seen in the attached photo who is wanted in connection with an assault in Norwood.

It was reported to police that on Saturday, February 19, at approximately 2 a.m., outside Mar & Tierra, a restaurant and bar located at 3236 Bainbridge Avenue, a 30-year-old male victim, working as security for the company, was approached by another man who was exiting the premises.

The man hit the victim with a glass bottle, causing a laceration to his right eye and face. The victim suffered bleeding and severe swelling as the suspect fled the scene, heading south on Bainbridge Avenue in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Emergency services arrived and treated the victim at the scene.

The suspect is described as male, has a fair complexion and is known as “Bori”. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
