Norwood: Search for assailant following forced touching incident

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person seen in the attached photo and video who is wanted for questioning regarding a forced contact incident that occurred in Norwood, located in the 52nd Precinct.

It was reported to police that on Monday, July 4, at approximately 4 p.m., outside 3083 Webster Avenue, a 34-year-old female victim was strolling, when an unknown person riding a Citi bicycle approached her from behind.

A police spokesperson said: “The individual slapped the victim in the buttocks with an open hand before fleeing south on Webster Avenue towards East Mosholu Parkway North heading west towards unknown regions.”

The individual is described as an adult male, has a slim build, brown eyes, medium skin tone, goatee, and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored pants, a black Nike backpack, a black New York Mets baseball cap and black sneakers.

Attached is a photo and surveillance video of the unidentified man taken outside 320 East 204th Street.
