Netflix invented content recommendation software almost 15 years ago. Today, the SVOD pioneer wants to make it easier to find genres of movies and TV shows.

On April 21, the service began rolling out a new category hub in the TV menu so subscribers around the world can more easily find their favorite genres and discover new categories of movies, series and specials, all at the same time. place.

The hub can be found in the left menu on adult and child profiles. There, Netflix publishes custom Top 3 categories based on what it thinks subscribers like to stream on a regular basis. The new immersive experience will also include collections curated to celebrate local holidays like Earth Day or International Women’s Day, as well as global categories like anime, drama, and kids & family.
