Mom creates Kiddieholidays site to help plan family trips

Jo Addison started Kiddieholidays after struggling to find suitable vacation accommodation for a baby.
“My son was only small and we wanted to go on holiday to Wales but we had a hard time booking a baby friendly place that didn’t cost the earth,” she said.
“I was looking for a place that is really baby friendly and has a little garden where he can play and maybe a playground or a swimming pool nearby, but I couldn’t find anywhere.
“It just made me think that there must be thousands of families in the same situation who want to stay in a place that offers more than a cot and a high chair.
“When I started looking I found there were loads of places that had toddler play areas, pools, gardens and even cool things like a bike trail. ‘balance or tractor rides around the farm! ”
In September 2019, Jo decided to take the plunge and quit her job at Jet2holidays to work on the site full time.
She works with a team of freelance writers to create the content and works with the cabin owners to promote them to her parenting community.
Jo wanted to develop the website more than just a blog. So he developed a new feature to create a classifieds site where families looking for a place to go on vacation with a baby or toddler can get ideas on where to stay.
Last year has been a tough one for the travel industry, but Jo has seen demand increase for both vacations and vacations in Europe as bored Brits want to escape lockdown and take a much-needed break .
