Camping World Stadium recently hosted the Vrbo Citrus Bowl, but is now pivoting towards more urgent use as a city-administered COVID-19 test site, starting Monday, January 10.

Demand for COVID-19 testing is overwhelming in Orange County as the omicron variant spreads rapidly in central Florida, with apparently a third of all Orange County residents having tested positive for COVID-19 the last days.

The county currently has three open test sites – Barnett Park, Econ Soccer Complex and the South Orange Youth Sports Complex – but demand far exceeds the capacity of these facilities.

Seeking to meet this need, the the city of orlando will open a new facility at Camping World in downtown Orlando on Monday. The test site will be open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and testing is free. No appointment, first come, first served.

City staff ask that you first visit the CDR HealthPro online to fill out the required information and reduce the wait time. More information about this site can be found on the City of Orlando test site page.

This test site will offer rapid tests and PCR.
